Kerala to launch skill development centers in colleges

The state govt has tasked the ICT Academy of Kerala (ICTAK) with establishing skill development centres in higher education institutions across the state ICTAK is an initiative created to bridge the skill gap in the IT industry and enhance employability. The govt is establishing the centre with the assistance of various agencies, targeting around eight hundred aided and self-financing colleges. The CEO of ICTAK, Muraleedharan Manningal, said that ICTAK’s mission includes designing an academic curriculum related to skill training, assessment, certification, internships, training in IT institutions, and facilitating placement opportunities for those who complete the training.
